Just purchased a few huddle-bugs from Huddleston Deluxe. I love to fish plastic craws and have a lot of luck in West Texas with them, but have never tried these. Headed to Lake Amistad in two weeks (first time in 15 years)...anyone out there a fan of these baits? Also bought a few of their weedless shad and grass minnow swim baits.

Ronnie - just received them today. First thing I noticed was how soft they are. Are they fairly durable? Also, I usually use a Gamakatsu Superline EWG weighted hook. Would I be better off going with a finesse hook and a bullet weight?

i would hook them in the tail with a little hook, perpendicular to the tail segment. i would put a nail wieght into the plastic body in the tail section. they are good, but also soft which makes them so good.

Ronnie - Good to hear. I'm a newbie, only ever fish plastics via texas rig or wacky. Can you elaborate a bit more on this please, (hook size and placement, how heavy of a nail weight)? I understand the nail weight in the tail, but not the rest of the setup. I was just going to texas rig it, but am definitely game to try something new. Thanks!
