I love to listen to music on the water. What can I say, I'm 20. I keep it down as to respect other anglers, but I do get some funny looks when someone gets close enough to hear Ska, metal, alternative, or whatever I'm in the mood for that day. What do YOU listen to when you fish?

I have a jamming stereo in my boat and I listen to NOTHING. I don't want to hear music on the lake. I want to be fully in tune with nature. But too each their own. If you enjoy listening to music while you fish, have at it and to heck with the haters. It's a free country and it sounds like you are very respectful with the volume, unlike some of the folks I see in ski/wake boats.

Maybe it is just me but I would never play the radio that is in my boat while I am fishing. I think the sound waves coming through the hull of the boat into the water must indicate to the fish that something is not normal and put them into a wary state which could affect the bite.

The Toadies, Black Crowes, Primus, and occasionally some Prong. If I'm on Texoma I just tune in to Mad Rock, I wish we had a station that good in the DFW area! I dont turn it on every trip, but when I do its turned up just loud enough for me to hear it while fishing.

I don't have a radio in boat, took my mp3 player once and only listen to it for a little while then determined I would rather hear nature the LinkinPark, but I do like LinkinPark and I am 52.

I have had a stereo in my center consoles and listened while catfishing and crappie fishing but never while bass fishing because I like to hear things moving around then.
I was crappie fishing a few weeks ago around a boat house that had a radio going and I really enjoyed it and the fish did not
seem to mind at all.

Nothing like turning on the radio in the boat while spending a lazy day fishing on the lake. I made a CD full of fishing songs that I occasionally listen to, but usually I just tune it to whatever local station I can pick up.

Yeah, I can see your point but I'm pretty sure they can hear the trolling motor hum, sonic ping from depth finder & the waves slapping the hull. I used to be the same way but I've taken the radio with me a few times and caught just as many. Sometimes it's kinda nice.

Thats awesome! I normally drive my dad crazy, so we have to switch to Hank Jr. and Roy Orbison every now and again. smile

As far as transfer through the hull, MP3 or smartphones are the way to go.

After a few beers, my cd player always seems to play 90's rap. I am all for Texas Country nowadays, but on the lake, Snoop and Dre always seem to be bumpin through the speakers.
