Lake Lewisville Fishing Report - 4-17-11

There's no generation gap when it comes to fishing. Greg brought his dad and son Kyle out once again for their yearly catfishing trip with Bobby's Catfish Guide Service. The catfish bite started off a bit slow. We just couldn't get away from the sandbass, undersized hybrids, and folks that don't know how to use an anchor or a trolling motor. We finally found what we were looking for and the fish box began to fill up. Greg had the hot hand on the numbers, Kyle had the big fish of the trip and Grandpa had a little bit of both. He caught some good numbers and some nice size blues as well. They finished up there day bringing 28 catfish and 6 sandbass to the cleaning table. They also released about another dozen box fish along with 3 trophy blues between 10 and 12 l bs. All fish were caught on fresh shad with Dead Red Blood Spray using both Carolina and Santee-Cooper rigs. Always a pleasure having great fishermen in the boat. Lake Lewisville Fishing Report - 4/19/11

Jack and Joe joined me for a non-stop channel catfish catching trip. The guys filled the box with their 50 fish limit during their half-day trip on Lake Lewisville. Fish were caught in shallow water using Secret 7 Dip Bait and Sudden Impact Fiber bait from Team Catfish. Never a dull moment with these two fellas in the boat. Kind of felt strange not throwing the net for bait this morning and didn't have any shad scales to deal with either. I still have some weekend openings in May for either blue cat or channel cat trips on either Lewisville or Grapevine. Plenty of weekdays available as well.

Thanks guys. Just finished up fishing 2 days with some repeat customers that came in all the way from Post. They had 9 gallon bags of fillets iced down after I was done cleaning fish today. I'll post some pics later this evening.
