The old man caught some females today and said the eggs are not ready to spawn yet. He said they are still very yellow.

any news on what the eggs look like in the females
at arrowhead. are they bloody yet. Just wondering
how close the spawn is. last few i have caught were still yellow!

Heading out to arrowhead this weekend to troll for some sandies and fish the oil dericks for a bit in the early mornings if anybody wants to come say hi.

We went to waurika today and it was slow for everybody there, we left early with 7.

Going to arrowhead with two other kayakers this weekend I'm thinking and where after sandies and crappie. The sandies i can find trolling with my fish finder easily but were are the crappie at. Was thinking of hitting the oil derricks up at Pawnee Point but I'm not sure if the damn near the state park would be a better option. Anybody care to give me there two cents and point me in a decent direction. The derricks produce nicely most the time but I dont want to miss some shallow action crappie either.

My buddy and I fished the Second scottland bridge today. 12:30 until 4pm. We caught one good keeper crappy, and 14 good keeper Sandbass. the sand bass would come thru and we would catch about 4 and then nothing. then 4 more, and so on.
Whats up with the crappy? have they not moved up yet?

Dont think they are up shallow yet. Probably a late spawn.

A friend of mine and I caught 15 in 1 feet of water off 3rd bridge a couple of weeks back. But Ive heard reports of people not catching worth a flick and others hitting the jackpot everywhere. Its just a really, really strange spawn this year. Don't know whats going on in those fishes heads.
