For those of you who have the same unit or transducer, I'm wondering if you ran into the same issue I'm seeing. My transducer has about a 1/4 of an inch of play vertically with all the hardware tightended down. The play appears to come from the black plastic piece that bolts to the transducer itself, then slides up in the metal mounting bracket. From what I can tell, the plastic piece is what is moving in the mounting bracket. The only thing holding it to the mounting bracket is the "Headed Pin". I've tightented this pin as much as possible, but there is still loose play. It doesn't take any amount of pressure to left it up 1/4 of an inch. I'm afraid in the water it will slap up an down and possibly cause some damage to the transducer or mount.

For those who have the same transducer, did you experience the same thing? If so, how did it react when you ran it in the water at a 20 mph or faster? Who knows, I'm probably missing something simple, but I'd rather play it safe and set my mind at ease before running it on the lake. Let me know what you think could be causing the issue or if this is normal.

That's the way the transducer is designed and is normal for play in the HDSI Transducer hardware.

Thanks guys. That sets my mind at ease. I'll put her on the water this weekend and see how she does.

If you have a jack plate you might want to look at Transducer Shield's mount. They are kind of high but the TD is solid and protected.
