Wind has been a nightmare there. this south wind is blasting all the north parks like love park, But sandies are good there early in the mornings. They been biting shad, white jigs, chartruse jigs, white road runners. little mustang is beening pounded hard. MOTT park is closed . (they are looking for a team gate gaurd willing to live on premises in camper trailer/motorhome.) waxahachie creek park is good in the south winds. very pretty park 2 boat launches Big trees, and of course waxahachie creek is good if you are in a small boat. the shore line is quite active in 1-4 feet deepths. Again early in am before daylight the sandies are feasting on shad. I set jugs in them high winds for catfish with shad, not very good. trolled the east shore of love park. what sandies i caught were all eaters no small ones. the largest was 14 inches another 13 inches and lots 11 inches. Highview marina has docks bait, and plenty of elbow room for the kidows, they catch nice fish there too.

There is a fairly good eve. bite just before and right after dark. I have had a few big mouth bass hit my sandie baits too. and several channells hit my crappie and sandies baits. Also caught catfish on nightcrawlers too thats a slow bite hard to tell he is playing with the bait.. Had a tail walker bass shake off in 3-4 foot of water . that was great even if he got off. also had a blue cat hit a crappie jig with a 6-8 inch smile across them big lips. The net was laying just out of reach and bigun blue was on a chartruse and red 1/16th oz jig on a 10 foot jig pole with a 6 foot of line tied to the end of it. I tried to just horse im over the side of the boat and he swam off with my jig danggling from the big lips , that was kind of cool too. would have been great for a kid too.
