i will be going to Galveston for thanksgiving weekend. Is there any jetties around? or anywhere i can chum from the shore? Is there an area in freeport that has better fishing? please guys i need all the help i can get haha

I would fish the san Louis Pass area. There is plenty of area accesible to bank fishing and is very deep. However, Im not to impressed with that whole area except for flounder fishing and occasionaly you can get into a mess of spanish macks during the summer. Also, the new state record Tarpon just came off a pier in the Galveston area.

The South Jetties are in Galveston and the North Jetty is in bolivar. Just get on the ferry and its is on the right about two miles down.
