Also, I don't have a problem with someone using shrimp. I prefer to use artificials and more than likely will stick with them. That time of year is great for arty's.

Hey ram,

If you want to be the designated camp cook, then come on!LOL!

More off your fajitas and boudin would be an excellent mix to this party!

I haven't fished Baffing either and TOO knows his way around that part of the country. That is why I was wanting to go in the first place, to learn the area a little bit.

Should be a fun time!

Sounds goods gents! I am sure our plans will start to firm up pretty soon.

Baffin is always a treat, I think I get more excited thinking about the bay, than fishing it.

Either site would be good for me. I know Mickey will treat us right at CastnStay, but Baffin on the Rocks looks pretty cool as well. I guess the availability will be the biggest factor. I am open to either.

TOO, I think we would pair up well then, because I seemed to have a hard time finding the fish.

Platics, topwaters, or live bait is good for me. I like to throw what the fish are biting. When I was down there in January the brown tide was there but it wasn't too bad. From what I hear, it shifts around the bay, so we'll only know when we get down there.

I am leaving tomorrow night for Baffin, so I'll report when I get back on Monday.

We got a cabin at Cast and Stay's at $132.50 a night for three people for March 12th-13th, if we get four or more we'll deal with the cost diffrence(higher). About the lowest price in Riviera. Got a lighted pier and is comfortable, ask CB.
I'm sending a check for the 1/2 deposit, and we have a one week cancellation, just so folks know if we get things messed up with people going.
CB, you sure you would want to fish with someone who doesn't catch fish? shocked
Ya'll check out the reports on the report section, 69.9 degree H2O in S.A. bay to the north at the surface. Also look at the link by Ranger, mud and grass, I bet. I figure Sunday morning will be crowded and we might need to look at the options available, figure when the nooners leave to return we'll find the area fairly calm. Monday should be a good deal.
Understand I'm not cancelling unless there's a 80% or higher of storms, with lightening. Wind, cold temps I'm going. Hope everyone understands and agrees.
CB, you going with a guide or on your own so to speak? Just wondering. I'd figure on some dark plastics, some limey colors and some "confidence" colors. A few topwaters might be the trick also.
I'll bring some steaks, salads and tators, or the breakfast stuff. I do a fair job on breakfast tacos.
Remeber we need to help with the gas cost with RF, and any other boat man.
RF, you want to stop in S.A. and have me ride down with you? Send me your phone again and we can talk as it gets nearer.

TOO,

Thanks for getting this set up. Email sent to discuss further.

Need to know how many people will be going. I can carry 3 comfortably and 4 if need be. 4 people is just not as comfortable, but doable. If we have more than that we will need another boat.

Looks like:

-Me
-TOO
-CB
-Reload
-Ram?

Also,

I mentioned this to TOO, I can bring some food down as well. I can bring a fish fryer along with catfish, freshly caught, Tuna, ducks to grill and some venison back strap. I don't have a lot of Tuna to bring, but wouldn't mind sharing some it to go along with some duck. The duck I cook is generally wrapped with bacon and a jalapeno. If ya'll don't like duck I will leave it at home.

When it gets closer I will make a list of grocery items to bring along with us.

Look forward to fishing with everyone!

I'll take my boat Ross. It will probably just be myself and my younger brother so i'll have some room in the boat, if needed. I just put a call into cast-n-stay for availability, but no one answered (left message). I'll let you know as soon as i hear from them. Drop me an email Ross so you can give me your contact #

I will be glad to chip in whatever. I can also bring some Venison as well as groceries. Ross just post or email when you make the list and we can divy (sp) it up.

Yeah, I'll be glad to chip in whatever needed and then some to make sure it's even. I can provide some fresh shrimp and oysters for a fish fry, if that is a direction we go. I will help with any fuel cost as well.

Just an idea, but one night, if we are feeling lazy, we can hit the King's inn as well. Just 2 minutes down the road.

TOO, thanks for getting everything in motion. That seems to be the most difficult part. Do you need me to send some money for the deposit(paypal or snail mail)?

I don't mind not catching fish, as long as I am in the water I am happy. smile

As far as our trip this weekend, no guide. We are going to find to try to find the fish. I have every plastic that I could find in Academy in my tackle box. I was thinking the same thing with dark and charts/lime. I have a few new corky's that I am going to try as well as topwaters. It's going to be windy, but at least I'll get my lines wet.

Ram, best way to reach Mickey at Castnstay is to page him and he'll call you back.

cb,

Oysters and shrimp sound great! I am now wanting to fry some up tonight, but I am out of oysters.

Good luck this weekend.

Don't want to butt into all the fun you guys are planning. Looks like a great trip. I know TOO will make it even more eventful.

Checkout whats happening in Baffin - (click on left side "Baffin") If that's what y'all are after you better get some more boats cause me and others will be down there. 31 1/2" trout? I hope the sows will still be there when y'all go.

TOO you're the man.

Thanks CB, I got a hold of TOO & it looks like we're splitting the cabin. laugh
Ross, I don't mind being the designated camp cook, but I'm limited to fajitas & some mexican cuisine (that's all i know how to cook). I'm looking forward to fishing and having some beers with you guys again.
