Went to academy this morning to buy some 2 oz. pyramid sinkers(really like that style for bank fishing), unfortunatly every 2oz sinker style there was sold out, so for 5.00 worth of sheet metal(only used a very small portion of the sheet), and .99 pack of swivels, I made me a mold to make some. grin
These all came out at about 2.2 oz

I bought a bag #8 lead shot a long time ago from the gun range when I started making my own crappie jigs, still using the same bag. I dont loose these sinkers very often, since most my rods have heavy line, but thought it would be nice to be able to make some when needed, especialy @ 2.00 a pop from academy.

That's a great idea. I've made weights before, but mine were just poured into a chiseled brick. They were ugly.

Nice job. U can also use bondo to make a mold of your favorite sinker. I made some bank sinkers like that last month.

Nice! BTW, are you aware that shot is up to almost $50\bag? I'd start stealing wheel weights off of the neighbors cars at night instead...:D

Lol, well when I bought the lead it was way less, even at 50.00 for a 25lb bag, they still come out to .25 cents a sinker for a 2 oz. Still way better than 2.00 cheers
