Well after getting delayed in austin due to traffic, we didnt get into Port A until late thursday night. So we fiddled around friday morning getting a couple of things done on the boat and made it out the jetties around 10am to 4-6 ft seas. Tabs down we headed on towards hospital. we stopped off at a rig and right off the bat started nailing the snapper.. we only had 2 throw backs. so we put 8 in the boat and moved on to another rig.. put a couple of more in the box and headed out to hospital. The bite was not there or southern either.. so we headed in.. Saturday we headed towards baker. and every stop produced snapper on nearly every drop.. the only down side was they were all just shy of 16 inches.. we see a weedline on the way to Baker rig and troll it for while with nothing but barjacks and a barracuda to show for it .. Anyway it was a great weekend on the water and cant wait to get back out there in a couple of weeks..
Adios, Bret

Thanks for the report Bret.
What were you all on, size of boat?
We are thinking on hitting the stand pipes pretty soon.

I've got a 25ft grady.. There are some other close in rigs that probably dont get hit as often as the standpipes just a little south of there that might provide you with a better chance at some good fish..
