I special-ordered my 1990 Ranger, and paid cash for it. I can NOT afford to replace it. The boat has been good,.... still is. The Merc 150 XR4 has had some issues with which the factory was NO help. I fixed all of them, finally,....with the help from people on this and other fishing forums.
The way I operate it, the fuel burn is not that high. Plus, I always launch close to where I plan to fish.
The problem I have is paying for the fuel on my tow vehicle, and my other vehicles, including my motorhome. I certainly can NOT afford all the fuel I want, not even close.

Need to improve my LMB fishing, running out of time.

My boat is paid for, so the only cost is maintenance and gas. I'll still hit the lake as much as I can. I don't run WOT if I don't have to, and I organize how I wan to hit my spots to be as efficient as possible.

Took wife and kids to Yellowstone and back pulling our 32' travel trailer back in fall of 2008. Gas was $4.52 a gallon in Montana. However, the entire trip including gas, RV parks, and food was only a little over $1K

the market for nice clean big used bass boat is as good as it has ever been if they are under 25k they are easy to move when the manufacturers stopped putting so many boats on the market it is just like car business the ones more sought after bring more money if you are shopping for one that you think is a good deal you had better move on it because if it is a good deal somone else will .

My Ranger is currently for sale, but not because of gas prices. I just want a newer boat! banana

I doubt to many folks will sell their boat due to gas being high. More likely to go less or not travel as far; also won't ride around the lake as much.

The lakes I enjoy going to are 30 to 60 minutes away from the house, but 5 minutes away is Lake Travis, so I may start going there.
