IMO rules are rules and apply to everyone. A TD is duty bound to put friendship aside and enforce these rules. Long story short, find another tournament where everyone plays by the same rules, plenty of good, well run tournaments to fish.

For me, I enjoy fishing the working man's tourneys because they are cost effective and a reason to get on the water during the week. The thought of getting a check is nice, but it's secondary to why I'm there. If I spent too much time trying to avoid knuckleheads in today's world, I'd be a lonely dude. I say fish it if you wanna fish it, don't if you don't. But it sure would suck to miss out on four hours of fun each week because I'm worried that a few douchbags are cheating.

Can't you just go out pleasure fishing anytime for no reason?

I don't need a reason to go fishing, but I have a ton of reasons why I can't just go out and pleasure fish anytime for any reason. A wife, three kids, a job that expects me to hit a lick each week so I can pay my bank who owns my house, my truck and my boat. Nope sorry, I can't just go anytime I guess I'm a wuss!

I do not know, but rules are rules. If you want to change them by adding 20 minutes, do it before the start. If you have to cheat to win, then you're not that good!
It is easy enough to fish by boat weight, after all it is a team effort.
I guess some day there will be an amateur fishing association that shows as of the end of last year you where in good standing, not reported as cheating. No card--no fishing in tournaments. May not be a bad thing if big money or a boat is involved.
What ever happened that guy who stuffed weights down the bass' gullet at Ray Hubbard year before last? Gee I wonder why the Bass just laid on the bottom of the tank. Officials did not catch it, but game wardens noticed it and questioned the guy. I know he had to give the boat back and TPWL was considering filling charges.

I was fishing a local tourney and ran way up this creek, spending a few hours up there. I was taking my time working my way back down when I spotted two boats side by side. One guy in one boat handed the guys in the other boat something twice then the guy in the other boat passed him something. I shut it down and watched, one boat backoff and left the area, the other boat waited 5 minutes and then left.
One boat won the tourney and the other boat won big bass.
To this day I check results and see their names all the time.
THIS WAS NOT IN TEXAS!
I am older now and only fish for fun.

Wasn't it the BLT guys that suspected Rose before the GW was called? And he NEVER won a boat. TALK ABOUT HOW RUMORS ARE STARTED... lol

You can not cull a dead fish. All dead fish must be weighed in. I believe 1/2 of this statement.

If you went to a restaurant an got crappy food and service, would you go back again unless you knew for sure that the food would be better and the waitstaff was more friendly and helpful.
I wouldnt fish that tournament either unless changes were made for EVERYONES benefit

If livewells are checked then there will be other ways of putting those already caught fish in the boat. I dont even worry about the livewells I worry more about those fish tied to a tree or a dock somewhere. A cheater is a cheater.
