Would like place to take my lil ones and wife crappie fishing where we will actually catch some. Spent alot of nights in my area on a few public access or pay access crappie docks that have simply not produced much. Let me know, Im looking for a place for a summer time trip. Being boatless is making me think outside the box

The reason why these docks aren't producing is probably because the majority of the fish are moving in shallow to spawn. If you try the same docks in a couple of months you'll probably be catching em left and right. My $0.02

When are you looking at taking your wife and kids? And how far are you wanting to go. I would think that right now bank fishing would be better than at a crappie dock. Crappie on most lakes have moved up shallow to spawn. In the next month or so, they will start moving back down and you may do better on a dock.

you might look at Ray Roberts and Isle of Debuis state park. They have a nice dock there and has been producing pretty good fish there.

Gents, I wasnt clear. I know crappie are spawning, I mostly fish from these dock in the winter and in the summer months. Especially in the summer and at night. Really looking for a fun place to take the boys during the summer and do some camping with them. Thanks
