I have been hearing quite a bit of this over the last year or two. Nothing but great things said about Hummingbird's customer service. I was going to purchase an HD10 but the more I think about it.........Hummingbird may be the way to go. IM still waiting to pull the trigger. There may be some adjustment going from Lowrance to Hummingbird.

You will be amazed at how easy Humminbird is to use. I think it would a great decision.

I wonder what number they are calling then. My understanding is there is very little hold time( less than 5mins) with the exception of mondays.

This is true. I just had my unit serviced two weeks ago. Customer service picked up within 10 mintutes, probably closer to 5 minutes. Card reader was not working due to negligence on my behalf. They replaced it and returned to me within a week and a half. There are certain items and units that are on backorder due to high demand, so the turn-around time might be longer on those particular items.

One of my partners had a problem with his HD7. Shipped out on Monday & had a brand new one by Friday. I have another friend that had one of the LCX 113 go out & Lowrance sent him a brand new HDS 10.

I usally bit my tounge and stay out of this stuff.

Jason has helped me and many other out. Here is on here and other sites trying to help people out. Its not like it is his job like it was Eddie at HB.

Thank you,
Shawn Smith

Lowrance has been good on this side too - even called them the other day (customer service) on a software download issue, on hold for about 2 minutes, then talked with a rep who guided me thru the problem. Great service and numerous times had questions for Jason (on TFF Forum) who never hesitates to help, as far as I am concerned - Lowrance is a winner in all categories! thumb

Your point is?

Jason has helped a lot of folks on this forum, a lot of folks.

Seems a bit stupid to me to try bashing someone that has always tried to answer every question posed to him.

Fastguy,

Not sure if that post was directed at me but my point is Id take an American made product any day of the week over 1 made in Mexico. Hardly anything made in the US anymore. Need to keep those Alabama guys working.

It wasn't directed at you and yes it is important to buy American when possible. You would be surprised at how many "American" products are made off shore.

My main complaint was someone calling out Jason when he has bent over backwards to help folks out on this forum.
