After you guy pitch you brush hog to a dock or a stump or some grass or whatever, what do you like to do with it?? Let it sink, start jiggin in right away?

Change up the retrieve untill the fish tell me how they want it worked. Some days its dragged slowly back, some days its hopped back, and some days its swam back.

Keep an open mind and they will let you know.

This is the Spring time bite. 9 out of 10 will want it in the bush on slack line. If you try to keep a tight line to feel the bite on the way down, they want touch it. Pitch it in and strip line immediately, give it a couple of seconds when it has had time to touch down and feel for the heavy feeling, and set the hook.

You talking about weightless?? I use a weight, I have a hard time even using weightless plastics on a baitcaster!

Brushhogs are heavy enough to use weightless. I t-rig them though.

No it's not weightless. Use a tx. rig with a weight matching the wind. I usually us a 3/8 on everything unless the wind is getting it. Then, go to the 1/2 always pegged in heavy cover.

I caught a bunch of bass from a friends pond using a brush hawg, they all hit when it laid still on the bottom.
