I just wish TP&W would endorse Operation Kill Whitie. I swear if the deep bite is tough this year due to sand bass it's going to take the Marine Corp to make me stop killing them stupid fish bang

It would be nice if someone could organize a few kill tournaments that would attract enough folks to put a dent in them. No doubt they are at a minimum partially responsible for ruining a bunch of good summer holes. But the bass aren't gone, Ronnie. Just relating to the bait and structure differently. Like I'm telling you something you don't already know.

Lsten to Fouz....If the tourneys did not release those under 16 fish and all were kept and harvested you would see one heck of an increase in bigger fish.....that was the original intent of the slot in the first place.....of course I personaly do not want to consume that much Mercury....but too each his own..I laugh every time I see that live release boat at tourneys out there...And these are the same people that complain that the sizes are down?

I know the fish are there...some days. The problem with Sandies, stripers, & hybrids is that they are migratory fish that chase to feed and feed non stop. Largemouth can't and won't compete with that. I had a 73 fish day last year and the following days and and the rest of the year the Sandies were there and just about couldn't catch a bass. It's not too bad when you hit them on Sat and Sun but when you have to run around all week trying to find areas without Sandies it get frustrating. I agree we need a kill tourney!!!

i think you need to eat thoes fish you can catch 16 inches and under. so i think tournyments if they so chose just release the fish over 24 inches. it would be good if these larger tournments partner up with helping hands ministry and local food banks and homeless kitchens and filet the unders weighed in. Also have whitebass tournys and have all fish go to these shelters.
