Anybody used the Okuma Stinson Spinning Reel? Academy has them on sale and wondered if they were worth the money? Plan on using them for whites/hybrids/bay fishing.

they aren't bad. just don't expect a ton. The Okuma Epixor is a much better reel. I have some I've had for 10 years and they still haul the fish in.

I have a small Okuma on an ultralight rod. I've really liked it. I'd buy another one.

I just bought one last week..it is pretty stripped down. I put it on an ultra light pole as well and had a great time with it these last two days. I would purchase another.
