I am not a big fan of Champions. I would own one if its all I could have just so I can get on the water but past that I really don't care for them. Or if you have a bad back like me you might own one. I do have a bad back. Broke it in November 2008 on a fire. Well you can thank me later. My home lake is Texoma.... I have it narrowed down to Champion or a Falcon. Lol.
And I know who "Jeff" is.

I am the proud owner of one....
I also think Gambler's and Allisons are hideous. They go fast and don't set up well for fishing, I don't get them. wow... Gambler's are the absolute sexiest boat on the water in my opinion. How don't they set up well for fishing?HUGE deck & convenient storage. I think they are perfect & I will drool over them til the day I can afford one! I have no idea if that boat fishes well or not, but man that is a sexy profile!
The world is changed by your example, not by your opinion.

Honestly, I don't look for sexy in a bass boat. Had that in a 373 Ranger one time, and darn....was good.....:) And me being a Champion 181 guy, must take umbrage with Mark's reply, as the bug boats and lead sleds coming from Mexico in big water at Falcon were doing the same as I was, just slapping the waves and trying to make the north shore. That being said, the best and most beautiful boat...is the one you are 'ridin' in......like the last call......they all look good..

Its not that I think Champions suck or are bad boats. I am saying they are not for me. Just one of those preference things.

Understood Mark. Just had to put my two cents in for the little boat. I know it's not the platform you guys have to fish out of, but it's a neat little ride, and works for me.

I also think Gambler's and Allisons are hideous. They go fast and don't set up well for fishing, I don't get them. Have you ever fished out of one?? An allison that is. I will agree that gamblers are ugly, but i won't agree that they're fast. The xb2003 can be set up to fish very comfortably for two. Then when you want to take the girlfired/wife friends out riding around change the seating configuration around and you have a very capable oat that can do 3 different things very well Fish Ski/hang out with friends Kick [censored] on race weekends If all you ever do if fish tourney's , or just fish with two people in the boat all the time, they might not be the boat for you, but if you do other stuff with your boat there isn't a better one imo.. And In person the ally's are beautiful imo, when all i had ever seen was pics i thought they were ugly too from some angles

The key is we got to fish and of course I learned a few things about making sure the boat was safe.
SO I guess boats can be ugly but like you they aint that bad.
I feel the same way.

Any boat that is financed for 10+ years is ugly, no matter how purty it seems.

Does anyone remember the old tri-hull bass boats of the 70's? Basically a bathtub with a motor on the back. The creator should have been slapped!

I say as long as it gets you in the water you're one up on those that wish they had a boat.
Old breed? New breed? There's not a damn bit of difference so long as it's the Marine breed.

AND
Gamblers are FUGLY! looks like they need shag carpeting and those little accent cloth balls hangning from the hand rail around the windshield, with some funky 70's porn music playing as they go by.
Seriously though on the fishing aspect, They are FAST! have to dam near stop to make a turn, and who in the world ever thought about their livewell system should be kicked in his little cloth balls. Why would you ever put them on the outside agaist the side of the boat where if you ever get a jumper, he's gone!

Bass Cat is an ugly [censored] boat imo. I dont think I could ever own one unless they made some severe cosmetetic changes. If someone gave me one, yeah...I'd fish out of it until I could sale it (if I didn't already have another boat). I couldn't agree more. The BassCat is just an ugly boat to me. Basscats are some fine boats (and Arkansas made). But I just couldn't talk myself into buying one because if I can't stand to look at it, I don't want it.
