Just purchased a 7"0' heavy online. Hoping to try it out later this year. I felt it at an Academy while I was down there and it was sweet feeling.

I just bought one this week. Feels really good. Light and solid as a rock. Hoping to break it in at Amistad this weekend. I think for 100$ its going to be hard to beat.

Great hooksetting rods, too stiff for my tastes for anything else...
Rods fish about 1 rating higher than most other rods (save St. Croix) which means there's not a good M rod in the lineup.
Light rod with good components though.

Broke one about 7" down from the tip on the second trip. I might have got a defective one, but won't buy another...

I am a Dobyns guy. But do have one of these in a 7' Medium that was a gift for Christmas.
Honest review, it is a good rod. Especially for the money. I use it for wacky-worming and it works great.

so if i were looking for a good heavy power, fast action...would I be better off getting the H or MH in a Veritas? Pretty much looking for a hook setter for jigs, big plastics, bed baits

I like the Veritas but have seen a few quality control issues (eyes not lining up perfectly down the rod and sloppy epoxy around eyelets) but they're rare. They are a stiffness rating higher than what is printed on the rod. If you're looking for a $100 rod, the Veritas is a good choice, but I still lean towards an equally priced Falcon BuCoo.

I have bought one thanks to a TFFer on here back in January and I love these rods. The HEavy action I use for jig fishing and have not had any problems with. The actions are a little stiffer without any baits tied on them but aftr setting them up I really like the action of the rods. The Meduim action is really a sweet rod for small crankbaits and really works good for jerkbaits. I am getting action out of baits like never before.

I have a MH and H 7'ers and really like them. they are not as sensitive as higher end rods, but for the money they are great. I caught a ton of hybrids with them this past weekend and they handle the fish great!
The road goes on forever and the party never ends...

I have the 7' H Bucoo and love it, but I am looking for another rod that has a little more backbone than the Bucoo
