I am cleaning out and organizing all my tackle and have some soft and hard baits and some tackle boxes I would like to donate. I live in Plano but not sure where I can donate this stuff. Where can I donate? Any High School teams or organizations for underprivilages kids. Thanks for any input.

You may want to talk to BPS, they do the reel trade in thing for kids fishing charities. Also, check around at local marinas, I am sure they would know somewhere that your old equipment could find a good home.

Thanks Guys, The fartherless boys retreat would be great. I have some nice older rods missing a guide and older reels still in good shape I could donate to that.

we're doing a benefit tournament this weekend and would love to have some give-a-ways for our kids. It's a non-profit tournament at Joe Pool lake, and we can give you a donation receipt. Would you be interested in helping us out?

Matt, can you give me some more info on the tournament. Who is it benefiting? etc. I want to give JR a little longer to find info regarding the Fartherless boys retreat. If I don't hear back soon I may be able to donate this to your tournament.

Wonderful thought to donate your tackle and not just pitch it. Great example to all of us. I have been keeping up with some of my older lures that I know I won't use any more, but haven't figured out what to do with them. Once I get a decent collection of tackle I'll be sure and donate it as well. Thanks speed!

Thanks TexAg. It's amazing once going through all the stuff I found lying around, I didn't realize some of the things I had. I was buying baits I already had and found some oldies but goodies and this stuff just slowly gets pushed aside and you forget about it. I just know I'll keep buying more stuff and more will get pushed aside so what better way than to donate it to great organizations where it can get used. I hope more of us will do it.
