Wanting to see what most of you prefer color wise on top waters and DD Crankbaits for late spring/early summer time. Think May-Early to mid June. I've always stuck with the more natural looking patterns (shad, bluegill, etc) but am always drawn to the "prettier" looking baits with yellow, purple, etc. Looking forward to your opinions.

go big or go home.

Different days, different baits sometimes. Bluegill colors and baby bass work great, especially shallow since a lot of bass will be up shallow attacking the bream beds, plus there is a lot of baby bass fry swimming around. Can't ever really go wrong with shad colors and I would definitely use those if targeting the bass that spawned earlier and have already moved to points or offshore.
