Absolutely awesome! Continue to support him... Support is everything. Without it, its just fishing... With it, it can make his dreams a reality. My brother and I never had much support or encouragement when it came to fishing (past a hobby)... If we had, who knows?

If you're interested, I'd like to give y'all (him) a years membership in the Federation of Student Anglers as a congrats from us (we're a group that builds middle school, high school and college fishing clubs/teams). As a member he can fish our monthly online series, any of our Texas Middle School Fishing Challenge tournaments or club and chapter outings as a member of the newly formed Lake Lewisville chapter. If you're interested or want more information, shoot me a pm and we'll get him fixed up. Again, congrats to you both!

Cool deal. My 6 year old son is my fishing partner too. We are having a blast fishing together. There is nothing like sharing time on the water with your kids. You get to teach, learn and share a lot and some of it has nothing to do with fishing. My son seems to have matured (in a good way) at a faster pace than when we werent fishing together. He can cast, pitch and flip a bait caster as good or better than most adults I know. Trouble is all his friends are into sports with balls and he has no interest in those sports. He can't catch, throw or dribble a ball but has a little brother (3 years old) that can. His little brother is a natural when it comes to sports involving balls. Big brother though seems to have some natural ability fishing though. God gives us all gifts and you just have to find out what your strengths are. Your son looks like he is off to a great start. Hopefully, our sons will compete together in the big leagues some day. Thanks for sharing the story and pictures and keep up the good work.
