what saltwater 12 lb. fishing line do you use? I use Berkley vanish on two of my reels but deciding what line to use on my cheaper rod. ( Stren Hi-Test or Ande? )

Didn't say if they are spinning or casting, but I use Ande Backcountry on both. It won't twist and is tough as nails.
It doesn't matter how you find the pot of gold, all that matters is that you beat the leprachaun.

I would use Ande or Trilene XL (14#) or Trilene XT(12#).

I'm a Ande Backcountry fan. Recently landed a 22# yellow cat on 8# that had been on that reel for five months in the back of my Cherokee. It's great stuff!

Is the 'Backcountry' a new type of Ande line, or is it the original stuff on a white spool? I've heard of several problems with Ande breaking down quickly and not having much abrasion resistance. However, this was in 30lb+ line used in the surf for sharks, etc.
Just curious. I use power pro, 20lb w/diameter of 6lb. I spool about 100yds of it on top of 12lb berkley big game. Love it.

I think Backcountry is a particular color of the Ande Line.
