Very well said Jimbo.Fishing seems to work for me. It is good that I live close enough to the lake to see the water. If gas gets too high, I guess I can always walk down to the water and fish. The boat is in the shed so I guess it will be ok.

I live here in San Antonio and though I fish Medina often , I have never fished Canyon. Are there any bass of any size in Canyon? Seems like you never see even a picture of a decent bass being caught there. Whats a decent stringer for a tournament usually weigh?

Tamale - Tourney is Sunday, Apr 17th. $80 entry fee which includes big bass side pot, team tourney, launches from Little Jacobs Creek. Since you are in NB, you can go by David's Auto Repair there on Business 35 he is the coordinator. He has entry forms. Also have them at my shop. They also do registration the morning of at the ramp. No penalty for late entry. Usually 20+ teams each year. Fun tourney.
Cub - Not a big bass lake. Usually only a couple handfuls of 6+lb LMB caught each year. 15-17lbs will generally guarantee you money, if not win, just about any tournament out here.

Thanks, I found the entry form (PDF) on your site. Why only the 80% payback I wonder.

HOOTER's is having a tournament there this Saturday. It's put on by the Selma Hooters, they can provide all the info. The entry form just passed my desk. I know you have to register at the Selma Hooters Friday, payout is $1000 for three fish. So wish I could go.
