I just got back to Minnesota after fishing Fork most of last week. Even though we had to fight the wind every day and couldn't get to some of the spots we wanted to fish we did pretty good. We ended up fishing Dale and Little Caney most of the week and caught good numbers of 19 to 23 inch fish. We had fish in all stages of the spawn. Best pattern was was 3/8th black/blue jig with a chigger craw hitting stumps on the creek channel bends. We had a blast and will be back next year!

I'm glad you guys had a good time. The wind has been rough the last month or so down here. Some cool pics of the gator. Was that in Lil' Caney?

He was in Lil' Caney. We saw two back there, this big guy and one about 6ft long. Not sure how big he is but he sure is fat.

Nice looking pic's. That last one before the gators looks like she's rubbed her tail off during the spawn.

Ya, about 1/2 rubbed off and very skinny for such a big head, would have liked to have seen that one two weeks ago.

How deep were you having luck with the jig bite?

Most were on the top of the channel bank holding on wood in 6 to 8 ft. We did get a few right in the channel in 11 to 13 but not many.
