...We did find this monster floating dead in Little Caney. You know it's windy when a wave smashes a fish like that into a stump and kills it. .gif) I don't know how you guys can fish in that much wind like it was this weekend. I'm guessing that added to making it tough to catch 'em.

Fished from noon until dark in Birch on Saturday. Finally found active fish in Double Branch that fed from 5:45 to 6:30. Before and after that...nothing. Caught four up to 3 1/2 on watermelon red flukes. Tough day.

I was in Birch and White oak on Saturday and had 22 fish, three unders and the rest in the slot. Biggest was about 7 lbs on a Wat. red hyper stick. We found one small area of cedar trees and had 11 fish from 3 to 7 lbs before the sun broke over the trees. I fished both sides of that area and never had a bite.

Fish Fork from 4th-8th and it was the toughest I ever seen it. 4' low and no grass made me close my eyes and wish I was on Falcon

Thanks Ken, I didn't call you because they were so hard to spot! But man I caught a lot of fish Thursday and Friday! Friday evening they were coming up big time! I had a cheat step-up in my boat! Once you were up a bit you could really see some nice fish! I had to leave Friday night for a funeral Sat and didn't get back for the weekend. I'm heading back Friday, you going this weekend? I need to catch up with you and lay some baits on you. Thanks

No problem. I am in Houston until Thursday morning then I have to turn around and come back Sunday for 4 more days. It really messes up my plans for fishing.
Talk to you soon,
Ken

Fished Saturday afternoon for a while with the ole lady. Had 5 in 4 hours, all smaller fish. Had to stay out of the wind so she could read her book......
