Sorry folks, thought things would slow down a bit. Dang other post got too long too quick.
UPDATE 1-04-05
Lodging Sportsman Lodge is booked, been booked by winter Texans for a while.
Got the walk-in special from Allistar Inn,(888)749-3003 right across the street from Sportsman Lodge, and just down a bit. $39 a room for two Queen sized beds. Plenty of rooms available. If anyone wants to run 3 or 4 to a room, that comes to about $12.00 a person with tax, would have to double up on the queenies. I'll splurge and go with splitting the cost of a room with one other. I figure we'll need 4 rooms at least. I still figure on Bazz, SkR, Walleye, Gwilliams, Galv1602, Caster, Snipingram, TxSD, RossF, and TOO for lodging. Know Etan, T-Rob and Art will not be lodging with us. Bit worried about T-rob, he's coming down from Bay City at 4am from work. Hope he makes it on time, it's a real pain to try to jump on the boat from the South Jetty.
Pre-Tres Tuna Meal Due to the nightmares that SkR is having of 160# Y-fins, we'll meet at Trout Street Station at 7:30 for "pre-game" dinner. I do think Snoopy's is a great place, but after talking to a good number of folks, let's keep everyone in the same area for dinner. So 7:30 for eats. Seeing that RossF and TxSD will be in later than that, so if we can get Snipingram there on time we can have a big group for dinner. With Snagged and DBG joining us we'd be at 12 eating.
Departure Still figure on departure from DSH at 7:30 or 8 am, unless weather makes us move it earlier. Unless they change the forecast a bunch were are going Friday morning. 5'ers, with it scheduled to calm down during the trip? That's what I saw on the graph of Galv16's.
Bait Piggy patrol is good, I wouldn't go to the south jetty unless needed. I'd try the boat ramp area right across the dock from DSH, right by the fish cleaning house, or at the breakwater wall at Roberts Park. One minute drive to DSH for keeping them alive.
COST : Here's the final deal. Fuel surcharge is $290 total. We are currently at 13.
1.SkR
2.Galveston1602
3.Walleye
4.akaCaster
5.gwilliams
6.Bazztex
7.snipingram
8.txseadog
9.RossF
10.Art
11.T-Rob
12.Etan
13.TOO
With 13 going we are paying $5,540 so $426.15 each. If we get 14 we would pay $413.57, and if we get 15 we pay $402.67

Bazz, you and SkR coming down Wednesday night?
Caster expect a call from me Tuesday, don't know when I'll be able to get out as of now.
I got 4 rod belts, two Bazztex specials, a buddies and my own, I'll bring them along for all to use that need it.

Am I missing anything?

Nothig except good weather smile

t-rob leaving baycity at 4AM YIKES I hope he gets off early 1 hr window wouldnt be enough for me laugh

unfortunately, I may or may not be able to make dinner thursday night.
what time of dinner are we talking about? 7 or 8? I figure port a is going to be right at 5 hours from here maybe if im lucky 4.5 but somehow I doubt it. so if I were to leave at 4:30 id be there at 9-9:30
now theres a chance I could get a few hours comped at work and get off early but, the Spouse might not like me using comp hours like that. plus theres some other scheduling issues...
Ill let ya'll know when I do but, i will be there hopefully before 4AM rolleyes

piggies fer bait? I hope thats an excuse to drink a beer and have some good talks smile as I dont know if Id want to beat off all those small 20# aj's

as for departure im all for the later the better as I think the bite is better the later at night it is

It looks like txseadog and I will be leaving Ft. Worth around 3:00 Thursday. That would put us in Port A around 9:30-10:00.

Neither one of us has made arrangements to stay anywhere. So, if you could add us to the list for a room I would appreciate that.

Txbiker, most GI infections are short lived - generally 48-72 hours. You might be surprised how much better you feel by Thursday; hope you can make it.

Snipingram,

I would also take some anti-bacterial wipes, the big ones, so you can freshen up some, and maybe a change of clothes for the long ride back. A roll of paper towels, or a regular towel too for cleaning up. This is basic, but don't forget some fish towels, the el cheapo $3.00 bag of white hand towels from Auto Zone work great.

I noticed the Beer, Beer, Beer, but don't forget to take some bottled water.

More later.

Check the update at the top. Snagged got your number from earlier. Really hope you and Tom will join us, I hear SkR is buying for everyone with the money from gambling and the blood he's sold.
I do feel we should use Snagged's offer of his garage, especially since we don't have a place for safe keeping. I'll make the run down there and back before and after the trip.
Galv16, long dip net man, please bring it.
Snipinggram, you are welcome to bring whatever you want to drink on the trip, but as mentioned we do reserve the right to use any alcohol related problems on the boat for Mako bait. laugh
Just us good sense about the alcohol, we've never had a problem on our tuna trips and know we'll not have one on Tres Tuna.
Bazztex and Txsd are bringing grills I believe.
Hey weatherman, any update on the weather?

7 repeat posts? I'm starting to worry about you, Bazz. laugh I don't know who's going to explode first you, Skr, or Galv16.
The deal with Allister Inn is good for anyone, either call and let them know your coming down or just show up. It is a walk-in deal, good for everyone, anytime in the winter. 'Caster and I are trying to get together to ride down, but I may be later than he'll want to wait.
