Is 88 - 92 lbs. per cylinder satisfactory for this motor or is that low? I am thinking about buying this boat with this motor.

When in doubt, have a leak-down test done.

I have the same year and model motor. I have 120 on each cylinder. So I would say it is low, but I am far from a cert. mech.

120 is average

If it's sat up for a while the rings may be sticking

One other thing some overlook is that tha rings lose they'er tension (ability ta hold to tha clyinder)along with wear over time. Thats why a very slight hone and new rings may bring it back up. Tha clyinders may still be fine........
