I am new to fishing whites on Lake Lewisville - what's the best area to fish on a windy morning?

The wind was already blowing over 20 - and forecast to get stronger as the day went on(blowing 29 this afternoon). My 18' Sea Ark does well on the waves, but we decide there were plenty of other safe activities we could do!

I was out there yesterday for most of the day. I know what my boat can handle and what I feel comfortable in. But I also have a 24ft center console. And I seen some boats out yesterday that should not have been on the lake. I like windy days LOL I get the lake pretty much to myself. But days like today and tomorrow is not worth the risk. Any winds above 25 is just more work and risks then its worth. Lewisville is one of the deadliest lakes in N. Texas for a reason. Stupidity!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I find that big waves over the front really clean everything off in a hurry! Before you go spray just a little bleach on the deck and when you get back it's all nice and sparkly!

I have been out on the lake the last 2 days. I just got off the water actually, and I believe the dive team is out on the lake right now. Lets hope nothing too serious happened.
If you're boat isn't at least 21 ft, I wouldn't even attempt it.

Good high sides and 2 drift socks and it can be done. I like it cause you do have the lake to yourself. Be careful if you do go.

I have a little boat and 12mph is the magic number that keeps me off the big water... but this time of year you can find fish in coves, out of the wind... did pretty good under the waterturkey trees friday night

We stayed inthe coves and out of the wind sunday afternoon throwing humdingers at the shore. Not much to show for it until wham I thought I was snagged and out of the water jumps a giant green bass. i got him in a weighed him 5lbs and tried to revive him but he was sluggish so i stuck him the live well thinking he was going home. I looked in later at him and he was swimming so i stuck him in the water and he swam away. Got a good pic!

I wouldn't go. I fished Friday and will never make that mistake again. It's not worth it.

I have hammered them this past week. Couldn't stand straight I'n the boat so I went on foot to a couple honey holes and caught some limits.
lots of fish staging the creeks right now FYI. Throw anything that looks like a shad..hint hint.

I fished for largemouth on sunday. Couldn't locate the largemouth too well, but managed to catch many whites and hybrids at every stop I made. Easily had over 50 for the day. Fish windblown points and banks.
