Is the meal still on??

Several suggestions have been made:
Red Snapper Inn
Willie Gs
Baytown Seafood (think this is the place DRShark recommended)

I ate at On the River with a group of about 40 people last Wednesday at lunch. I had fried shrimp, and it was great. But a number of people were unimpressed with their food. Mind you, most of those people were eating the grilled chicken plate, so they probably shouldn't have expected much.

I will say that they were very efficient at serving a crowd this size, but then, we pre-ordered all the food.

So in summary, I'd say that the seafood at On the River was good and the service was very good, but; just not excellent.

Yea,

Don't want to upset the Cinco cook. You might get more than you bargained for! LOL.

We are planning on getting down there by 5 PM, so we will be good to go anywhere. Don't really care as long as it is decent food.

Willie Gs comes recommended by the folks from the TBB Trip and DRSHARK raves about Baytown Seafood in Freeport. Both have good cheers .

Mountain Oysters are from Kalifornia...

You need to go over to the M&M Steakhouse in Ft Worth and order their Calf Fries... Real Texas Food! cheers

Since Baytown Sea Food is close to Capt Elliots where the Piggy Round-up is taking place... I guess we could have the Cinco group meal there?? noidea

In another post, someone said eat before the piggy catching spectacle. Do we want to be at the dock when the boats arrive that evening for the fish cleaning??

Would it be worthwhile to call Baytown Seafood and see if reservations are possible??
