Hit cali at day break. Fished half of the wall. Threw live perch and shad on rocks. Threw perch shad under lemon float ten feet deep. Chicken liver and perch free line all depths to try to find the striper. Caught three pound cats only. No reds no stripers. Other people showed later caught one cat. Left wall after couple hours went to point under power lines fished same stuff. Zero bites. Pulled up went to Braunig. Went to buoys down concrete outlet. Threw live perch liver with split shot. Caught two stripers one was well you know the story 17 and fifteen sixteenths inches long. They always are. Stopped biting so trolled rattle traps up and down discharge nothing. Called it a day. One other guy caught two also at discharge. Reds and stripers were on at this time in the past. Maybe just got to hit em right. Not really fire yet.

I was at Braunig on Tuesday(April 5) all day and caught 9 strippers and 1 red from the bank. I didn't measure the red but it was easily 30+ in. I caught the red on shad around 9pm. One of the strippers was undersize and the rest was between 19-22 inches. I caught them on big shad(they weren't biting on the small shad) and perch. At the cleaning table a boat pulled up with 9 red. They were there just for the afternoon. I don't know what they used or what area of the lake they fished.

when fishing the wall, make sure you get the balloon rig OUT THERE, we been slaying the reds at the wall on balloon rigs when it's been SUPER windy out. Most of the fish are 10+lbers. The rare 25" has been caught tho too. Be careful tho saw 2 dudes flip there boat over and lose everything had to get rescued by another boat LOL. I kept telling them there boat was unsufe...they never listen...

Yep, if you're gonna bring something small out there, make sure it's small enough to pull up onto the wall, so it doesn't get damaged or capsized by the waves up against the wall. I have done that a couple of times with the canoe. But on that note, if it's that windy, I don't go out there in the first place.
