I went out this morning to try and beat the wind. I immediately started catching fish on the north side of the island. Birds were working hard, I threw out some Ol' Uglies and caught a few dinks off the bottom. I switched to a rattle trap and caught some of the biggest fish I have ever caught on EM, and this was the 1st time for me this year the big ones weren't full of eggs. Usually when birds are working, I catch the bigger ones on bottom. But today was the exact opposite.

That lasted almost two hours. I braved the winds and went around the south side of the island. I found two massive groups of birds working. I fished the first group for about an hour, and then followed some more birds and fished for another hour.

I have to go and work at TMS, but I will try to get some pics or a video up. I have a pretty cool video of about 300 birds around me!

I did not intend to stay out that long, and it started getting very rough. If I didn't have a deep V, I would have not stayed out.

Today was an easy 200 fish day. If you have a safe way to get out, then find the birds. They are acutally not "Lying" for once! If you have a small boat, then stay in. It's not worth It!
