This time of year, 1 of 2 ways:
1. Use the baby or 4" on a split shot rig, with your weight about 2 ft. up. 2. You can use the 4" on a whacky rig with a small nail in the head of it for a little added weight.
Good spring colors are Watermelon Red, Green Pumpkin, Fork Secret, and LFT's new Crawfish Swirl!
In the Summer and Fall...............C-RIG! This is when this bait is at it's best!
Good Summer colors are Watermelon Red, Chart. Pepper, Sour Grape, Watermelon Chart., and Green Pumkin.
Hope this helps.

Use the baby or 4" on a split shot rig, with your weight about 2 ft. up. This is a killer rig over submerged trees. Back when I fished Allen Henry (before they made you pay an arm and leg to fish there), we would kill them doing that with it.

So I should maybe go with the baby? BPS site says they are the same length, 4", baby is just skinnier.

The baby is about 3.75" in length, and a bit skinnier. The 4" is 4" and a bit bulkier, but not by much. Both are deadly. Just some days fish will want the smaller profile and eat the baby better than the 4".

Ambrot, this time of year I prefer the Ring Fry, regardless of presentation. The lure will catch fish throughout the water column. Really shines up shallow right now for BIG fish.
Come summer, when there are large concentrations of deep fish, the Baby Ring-Fry on a ball & chain is just about unbeatable.
All shades of this bait will catch 'em. Personal favorites, in order are:
Fork Secret Watermelon-Chartreuse Pepper Chartreuse Pepper Watermelon-Red Green Pumpkin June Bug Sour Grape
Have fun.
