went today and did well on wacky worms around mid lake, as for a big bite, just throw a bigger bait, less bites but bigger fish

We fished 5 Fingers Saturday Morning(south shore near the mouth) caught 2 keepers right away on 3/8oz Nichols shattered glass blue shad spinnerbait and carolina rigged Zoom green/pumpkin magic 6" lizard early and that was it....and then about 12-15 dinks in 3ft or less on the Lizard. That evening we went to 3 fingers 3more keepers on the lizard(lost a four pound plus right near sunset) Sunday wind was 18-20mph and didn't get out till late and had the cove all to ourselves fished texas/rig lizards....whitcaps in the cove! Caught 25 or so small fish with a couple of keepers. Also the big fish 12.7lbs! CARP on a lizard....my boss fought that fish 5 minutes before we even saw him and then it was a test to see if we could land him. I had 2 bags of those green/pumkin magic colored lizards and we used all of them. points in those two coves produced the fish mainly. Thanks for all of your help....wanted to give you a report. For my first time to Rayburn, great lake and park.

Fish flukes in a watermelon color. i had great luck with watermelon red, watermelon, and watermelon gold glitter, dip all the tails with spike it.(seemed to help with better fish). Take a blue gizzard colored swimbait and reel it slowly above the grass and you wont have any troubles getting a good bite either.Fished about 6 days and had a limit over 10 lbs. everyday except 1. Mud is a good place to start on the point fish the grass all the way in. Harvey also produced many fish. Deer satnd,The Canyons, and the cove around the corner from Boykins parks had some decent fish as well. Hope this helps. I ran out of 3.5" shadalicous blue gizzard swimbaits. I promise it wont ever happen again.
