Wanted to buy an auto deploy TM, are these still in production or does anyone make these anymore? I know Minn Kota used to make the Genesis. And are the auto deploys worth it?

MG made them for a while. The last one I saw was in the water and the guy was 11 miles from his truck. It was stuck and he could not get it up.
My guess is the eggs layed by those have caused them to be a thing of the past.

I may have one of the last working ( it was working when I took it off) power gators. It comes with a 24 v 80lb great white Motor Guide. It was new on the boat in 2001, taken off bout two years ago. Shaft on the motor is a little bent, but still very usable.
I would take $150 for motor and mount picked up in Rusk Tx. Sold as is where is.
If the mount sticks , it is very easy to back it off and lift manually( need the proper allen wrench). Or just open the trap gate and set the whole motor inside.\ I had to do this a couple of times all the years I used it. It is a great unit if you have back problems, just hit a switch to raise or lower. I had a switch on the console and one at the bow.

Minn Kotas New Ulterra Trolling Motor Simplifies Boat Control w/Auto Stow and Deploy, and Power Trim Minn Kota announces Ulterra, the next evolution of trolling motors. Ulterra can be seen at Minn Kotas ICAST this week at the Orange County Convention Center, Orlando, FL. Continuing its legacy of innovation, Minn Kota announces Ulterra, the next evolution of trolling motors. Ulterra can be seen at Minn Kotas ICAST booth, #1041, starting Wednesday, July 16. The revolutionary Ulterra bow-mount trolling motor features fully automated stow and deploy. In addition, Ulterra includes power trim, which raises and lowers the depth of the motor with the push of a button. These innovative functions, controlled wirelessly with either the i-Pilot or i-Pilot Link remote control or foot pedal, make boat control easier than ever. All Ulterra motors come with either i-Pilot or i-Pilot Link, and a new multi-function, corded foot pedal with a dedicated Spot-Lock button. Ulterra was designed and engineered to enhance the anglers time on the water, Minn Kota Senior Product Manager Dave Maryanov said. The new automated features set the standard for ease of use in a trolling motor. And by including i-Pilot technology, we not only have a motor that provides automatic boat control and automatic anchoring, but now, automated stow, deploy and power trim. The motor truly does all the work. Ulterra will be available Fall 2014 with manufacturers suggested retail pricing between $1,989.99 and $2,549.99, and will come in 80- and 112-pound thrust models with 45- and 60-inch shafts. Ulterra will also come standard with Universal Sonar 2. My first reaction is; Wow, I wonder if it's possible for us, as a society, to get any more lazy?
After a bit of thought, part of me still wonders the same thing, and the other part says it would be cool to have so i didn't have to run to the bow everytime I wanted to deploy or stow the TM.
If you're not living on the edge, you're taking up too much space!
