I was looking around at Academy last night, and noticed the H2O square bills. They look really good, seem to be more detailed than the Strike King stuff I have been using. Anyone use these with success?? They are cheaper so that would be nice! I ended up picking up one to try out this weekend.

They are about the only crankbait I use now. For the money they can't be beat IMO.

Yea Strike King still has some colors that I really like, but on the colors they have that are the same or similar, the H2O's just look better to me.

Great crankbaits for the money. I've caught several fish over 5lbs on them this year without changing the hooks or anything. Just tie it on and start chunking!

I posted this before, but since you guys are talking about them again, what the heck.

I had the bill break on one of these the last time I was at the lake. I realize that this sort of thing happens, but I'm going back to the Strike King version.

Having said that, they do have good action and a good variety of colors. We all get a lemon once in a while. I'm sure Strike King models break once in a while.

I've broke the bills off Lucky Crafts, H2O's and Strike King. Didn't bother me so much with the H2O.

Love the CRS models. cannot beat the natural shad color anywhere.

I like them as well, but have had bad luck with the bills breaking recently. I bought 10 on clearance at Academy and had 4-5 bills break after only a few casts. I was fishing rocks, but never once landed one on the bank directly on a rock. Must have been a bad batch or something, but disappointing to break 4-5 in one morning. For that price I'll continue to buy them though.

I had a guy in my shop last night who was complaining about bills breaking on the newer H2Os. The old ones I have are rock solid. I have never broken a bill on one, but it worries me with the reports about the breaking bills.

I went to Lewisville on Friday, My wife was throwing the H2O sqaure bills, she broke off 2 bills.

First one she hit a bridge piling, and I tied a new one on for her and she threw again close to the riprap and broke off the bill on a brand new one, She might of hit the rocks I wasn't watching.

So right now I am 50/50 on the durability of the bills
