Bass fishing is like a 30,000 acre golf course with no flags and five holes you can't see- Tim

I think for me it's probably the rage craw. I use to catch a lot of fish on that thing but for some reason I just stopped buying them.

strangely one of the BEST days fishing I EVER had was throwing a sluggo, tx rigged with a really heavy bullet weight.. working it off a flat and down a drop off ... jiggin the heck out of it, through the hydrilla edge.
Goofy presentation I thought....but I caught 11 bass in less than 30 minutes, smallest was 3#s, most ranging bewteen 4-7#s and one over 9#s...
that was 7-8 years ago... and for some reason, quit using sluggos a couple years back???

Are there baits that used to be go-to lures for you, but you just don't use them anymore, perhaps lured away by newer, trendier ones? I was thinking about this recently. I used to absolutely kill 'em on Charlie Brewer's Slider worms and Lunker City Fin-S Fish, but never throw them anymore. Same thing for spinnerbaits, although I'm starting to throw them a bit more again. Hula Poppers and Jitterbugs....
