Haven't fished Gammies since switching to owners about 4 or 5 years ago Same. Fish stay pinned better for me with owners. I don't know why. It takes pliers more now to get the hooks out than it did when I used gammys. Both are super sharp. The gammy superline hooks seem to bend little easier than the Owner WGP but they are still pretty tough.

Why? Better hook ups? Sharper? Better hook ups, I don't know that there is much difference between the owner needle point and gammies, but the owner cutting point is just better, it takes less pressure to stick, will slice through the hardest part of the cheek with no problem, and the hook point rolls less. In all honesty they have a downside also, IF their hook point rolls its pretty much junk, and the cutting point creates a bigger hole going in, but the barb is over sized to make sure they stay stuck, and I don't give em a chance to shaker loose anyway. I shouldn't say I don't ever use gammies because I do use there skip gap for skipping docks with spinning gear, and I probably would use this hook more often if they would make it in a heavier wire, but they don't so I will stick with owners for the foreseeable future.

Gammagotchas are pretty tough to beat. Giving the trokar a try but I bet I stick with gammas.

Trokar hooks are bad to the bone, but $10 for 4 or 5 hooks is retarded! I'll stick with Owners.

Gammas do not have near the backbone as Owner's.. But since I am fishing against you.. You use Gammas and I will use Owner...
