...I need the left hand reel version.

I like the H20 reels at academy and they seem to be pretty popular and a good value, but they don't come in left hand reel version.

Currently I have a few of the the BPS Bionic reels and they seem to work pretty good. Just wanting to expand to see if there are any others out there that are good at around the same price point... and in left hand.

Any ideas?

There aren't many at the $50 price point that I know anything about. You can find bass pro extreme reels at that price on sale occasionally. You might look into the Daiwa Exceler. Its regular price is $79 I think, its a good reel for the money and comes in a lefty.

EBay! I know people don't like to buy items like reels online but I have bought a few and have good experiences. I have found alot of left handed reels for very cheap on eBay while looking for righties! I'm a little jealous!

US Reels "Invader 600" - sold $59.99 (they do sell them in left hand version, but you have to order off their website to get it - otherwise, it's sold in Academy). Or try calling to order it: (314) 962-9500

spend the extra $20-25 and get the extreme from BPS. I reel lefty and have no issues with them. I put mine through a lot of abuse and have had them several years now.

BPS Pro Qualifier is available in a left handed also. I believe it's $79.99

The 1st bait caster I ever owned was a Shimano Callisto...it was actually a gift from the company I worked for at the time. It was a perfect 1st baitcaster considering with the 2 piece Shimano rod it was something like $50 at Academy. I think you can still buy them for right at $50. I liked them so much I bought them for my bay fishing, because if they [censored] out because of the salt, I am not as bummed as my Penn reels. I have also bought them as intro bait casters for 2 people and they loved them.

He stated in his first post it needed to be left handed and that H20 does not offer one..

Look for a used johnny morris. They are always being sold in the 50 dollor range and are a very solid reel that will serve you a long time if you take care of it. If you can go to the 80 range looks for a old shimano curado 200b (greenie). They are one of longest lasting reel on the market and still being sold for just about the price they were sold for new over 8 yrs ago.

I have good luck there two.
The main thing is look at the quality of the Reel in pictures and the sellers feed back.

One you build and fish with your own hand built custom rod you will fish with nothing else!
