Fished the State Federation tournament last week. Had great luck with flukes around grass and timber up in the creeks. Fish the grass up in mud with shadalicious swimbaits in blue gizzard shad. Keep it just above the grass line and reel as slow as possible and you should'nt have any problems getting bit. The ditches in Veach are also producing some good keeper fish. If none of that works flip the trees in the Black Forest or Deer Stand. There are some bigger fish schooling around the lake. I had a small limit within a couple hours every day on the fluke starting out, then switched to bigger fish baits in the afternoon and had no problems culling. Good luck and hope this helps.

The boatlanes is a great product and I recommend it, BUT with the water as low as it is it isn't safe to just run where it says to. Use it as a guide but some of the lanes are marked when the lake was higher, such as in front of Bird Island.

WHAT BOATLANES. there aint a bouy one on rayburn for boatlanes. Somebody had to guess what was a safe boatlane or something. I know the "boatlane markings on toledo for the GPS maps will put you in the middle of the timber. And it has marked boat lanes. Those things are horrible inaccurate for marking lanes. Run em if you want but dont be surprized when one puts you in the wood. I went to one of the GPS marked ones one time and i mean literally just about got hung up on wood getting to the mark and this was at reg pool levels.
