Tom, Bazz started backpeddeling. I wagered Tuna Hunter against the Sissy Popper. He can't switch to Tuna Hunter anytime during the trip w/o forfiting the bet. He said he would take the bet but be using both. That don't cut the Mustard. So I don't know if we have a bet or not. From what I can gather from the posts I have read, I bit off more than I can chew and probably won't have much of a chance cause he says he throws a mile into the darkness and at my age I can't get further than to the edge of the lights, if that. Heck I didn't even think a Tuna could see a lure out in the dark. Plus he also said he got 5 Hookups on something called Quantro, what ever that is or was. Heck, I can't ever remember doing that. I won't renig the bet cause that would be too embarrising after I went and shot my mouth off, however he boasted his money was on the Frenzie on my post for the Tuna Hunter so that is really where the Buck should Stop. OK Bazz, but for the $100 You can't throw a Tuna Hunter the entire trip w/o forfiting the bet. I won't throw anything but a Tuna Hunter. IS IT A BET? LET ME KNOW SO I CAN PACK AN EXTRA HUNNARD. Doc.
McBill, you're on. Between the two of us we'll suffocate the rest of these pirates and then have all the top water action to our selves. Do remember though that Galveston1602 can withstand it. I asssure he'll be standing when the rest hit the deck. We will just hand him the Gaff though cause he will have worn out all his Penn 9500's by the time the others drop. Drshark

Shark, How about a BS bet between you and me. A "C" note for the biggest fish. Fish with any thing you want and the best BS-er takes a hundred. This would be a side bet between you and me.

Shark, remember I upgraded that 9500, it couldnt handle all the fish I wanted to throw at it! I dont even take the 9500 for "backup" anymore LOL
I may not be in the league of BS with the Dr but, Ive been known to hand out (and take) more than my fair share! As for gaffing, I gots no problem with it, had to do it a bit on tbb from the bow when we were without a deckhand for a bit (cough cough)

Is it OK if we gaff our own fish? I would prefer that over those loin butchers. I would love to hand off my fish at the end to a deckhand or anyone else and gaff it myself.

That would be a problem. A very big problem. The only reason I'm thinking of not going on the trip is because of the gaffing problem. My friends know I have issues with ruining fish and have repeatly told me I would freak out. They are probably right. I most probably would just go up to the upper deck and just drink and enjoy the skyline.
I only head gaff. Everybody I fish with is the same way. If it's not stuck in the head, and it gets away, so what. Body gaffing is for beginners. I assume that head boat customers on the average don't care, and the deckhands are instructed to "Get the fish in the boat".

Yes The Big E has a first aid kit and by accident on top of accident I saw not one but 2 real doctors using it on TBB 06. Seem like the most popular item in the box was the side cutter and needle nosed pliers, but those 2 Dr's. sure did not know how to clean up after themselves. They left the bloody pliers, hooks and pieces of hooks all over the 2 tables they were using. I guess they figured the cook would clean up before he served the next meal. Thanks, John

mrbill it is a lot easier to head gaff off a sportfisher with 3ft of freeboard than gaffing a fish from 10ft above with people fishing next to you and a long bamboo gaff....rick

mcgolfer, I'm sure you're right about the height. I am used to being right next to the fish and also using the boat to help. I guess I need to just not worry about the gaffing and fish. I was a little bummed when I posted the above because a group of my friends just left to Port A to target YF's.
After that Dolphin report everybody got fired up and we were all calling each other. Down with the shotguns and out with the 80W's. I have to stay home because of a stupid wedding. The big 150+ ones are only in 220 to 280' of water this week. I'm jealous and wanted to go real bad.

Here Fishy Fishy Fishy. :p You just keep on practicing your casting on all them other Tuna trips so you'll be ready for School on the Cinco Trip! I will be throwing other sponsor's baits but I wont count anything but the Frenzy fish towards my Biggest YFT. I will let you apoint an Official Varifier to keep things above board if you like??

Now don't take this the wrong way but we are not in the least bit interested in helping Crazy clients. As a matter of fact we won't eve naccept appointments. Our specialty is Kept Women. A Kept Woman is one that usually dosn't look too bad if she lives in a upperend neighborhood such as ours. Her husband maks plenty of money but is at work all the time so he can keep on making lots of money. His kept Woman is afraid to get a boyfriend cause she knows perfectly well that Good Dogs Don't Kill Sheep Close To Home. So she plays tennis at the club, drives the kids around until they leave the nest. and shop for their quite Gaudy House that most of the contractors are building today. Then there is church for those that want to be Devinely Kept Women. There are a million little mundane things these women can do to occupy their time but in the end they all fall victim to the same curse. No one listens, especially Hubby. The Pastor dosn't listen cause he has a bunch of real crazies he has to watch over. The hair dresser dosn't want to hear cause she's heard it all a thousand times over. The UPS guy has a schedule to keep, all her transient neighbors don't ever get close to learn any more than what her husbands title at work is, and quite frankly, no one really gives a Rat's ***.
In Steps Shrink's Inc. We will listen to this trival **** all day long for $350 per hour. We have no answers in our business. All we have to do is rephrase their dumb *** questions and then ask them right back to them in a way that they can answer them themselves. Piece of cake. They sign the bill and walk out content to remain Kept for another couple weeks to a month, depending on the degree of their curse. Their husbands never complain about our bills cause we are worth a fortune to them. We always say "I'am OK, Your OK, if the checks OK". That is in our Mission Statement.
Now to answer your question about the Docs on Board. Ricks right DrShark is a Quack. He dosn't practice it anymore because he has earned an even higher degree in BS. BS is ten times more fun for two reasons. Usually, as in my case I can Afford to BS and as long as I BS, I don't have to listen too anyone else's BS. LIFE IS GREAT IN WOODLANDS , TEXAS. If you can't eat it, drink it, make love to it, or fish for it, don't even think about discussing it with me.
Now to the Important S***. Wheres Bazztex's $100on those Sissy Poppers? That Ladies and Gentlemen is where the real BS lies. Yours Truly and Stonned Forever on Life. Drshark That's too fricking funny. and true!
