I am looking at a 2006 skeeter 20i and a yamaha hpdi 250hp. Any reviews on this boat would be great! I am looking for a boat that is great in rough water but also has some speed so i thought the 20i would be better than the 21i, let me know if i am correct. Also how is the yamaha vmax hpdi? Is that a good engine? Does it get good gas mileage?(i am sure it will get better gas mileage than my 1995 engine). any reviews on both parts would be awsome! Thanks!!

The i class boat is a good boat in rough water. Ist not the fastest boat that skeeter makes but you have to figure the i boat is heavier than for say a zx225. The hpdi's are a great engine in my opinion. We sell Skeeters powered by Yamaha at our dealership and hardly ever have a issue with it. I tell people all the time, the only time a VZ motor is in the shop is either routine maint. or the engine has gone down. Every one has their own opinion but a hpdi and the optimax are both fine motors. It all depends what your into. With skeeters, yamaha is your motor. And yes it will get ALOT better fuel milage than a 1995 engine of any breed

I am a marine mechanic in Waco, Tx. If that boat interest you then there is a 2007 skeeter zx250 with a 300 hpdi with 25 hours that is spotless. Ready to go. Get on boattrader.com and do a search for that boat in the 76712 zip code. It is red and white. Maybe you would want to take a look at it.

It really varies from boat setup and the driver. Average is 73 upwards to 79 and 80mph
