I got tired of digging in my pocket for crappie nibbles everytime I needed one, or setting them on the floor, and stepping on the by accident. so what I did was put a small square of velcro (abt an inch by an inch) on the top of my trolling motor housing, then put the other part of the velcro, on a crappie nibble bottle. so when I put my trolling motor in the down position, and im ready to fish, I just put the bottle of crappie nibbles on top of the trolling motor housing and the velcro holds it securely in place. when im ready to go to a different area, I just screw the cap back on, pull the bottle off and stick it in my pocket, until I get to the next spot. this method keeps you from spending valuable fishing time picking nibbles off the floor, and they are always in easy reach. Good idea....until you forget to put the top back on the jar and pull the trolling motor up. Those things are really fun trying to pick out of carpeting yes nothing is totally idiot proof.
COMING SOON! .. THE STICKLE HOOK " the stay level sickle hook". sits level in the water with all knots.! Provides better hook sets and more natural jigging motion. No more adjusting the knot, gluing , or tying loop knots that cause the hook point to tangle in the loop, or worse knick the line.. The jighook that will make all others obsolete !

Its kind of hard, to grab the rope to pull up the trolling motor and not see the crappie nibble bottle sitting right on top. . might have to paint it bright orange and put a little flag up there.

Great idea! Great idea. CV (SLABmesilly for you new fellas) taught me a trick for the non-boaters. I now keep mine in some type of pop-top candy container (like mentos), and you don't have to worry about unscrewing the top every time you need another. It works like a charm. Keeps the fishes breath minty fresh too.
Keep on fishing.

It took everything I had to stop him before he ate 'em! He obviously didn't know what Mentos look like!

I had a friend who took advice from the said person and did just that in the heat of the fishing he ate all his nibbles and couldn't figure how to get tictacks on a sickle hook, advice can be good also can be zz-zz some time we find our own way, too much analization in Crappie fishing can lead to paralization/empty livewell ,bucket or fish basket.

I use the Bottle Diabetics use for their test strips, it is water tight, I can open with one hand and it fits in my shirt pocket. And it is a price I can afford.

Dude you shoulda let him. that would have been great! I know! I don't know why I was so benevolent that day... Any other day he woulda had stank breath. Sounds like your friend shoulda drank more water and less of that free Bud Light! All I know is it works for me, and I give credit where credit is due. I wouldn't recommend it for people with short memories (or low tolerance)!

T-Dub, Look like some people woke up on the wrong side of the brushpiles. We just can't please everyone; we can only suggest. After all, this post was meant to be helpful of how to manage the candies, not bashing a method.. Now carry on...
