My son and I received a very generous invitation from SeaProTodd and Fish Zombie to chase stripers on Twok this last Friday, and it was a great trip. Here are a few pics from that day.....

The catching began early in the trip with Dan catching the first striper of the day. Here's Todd giving him some net assist.




First striper of the day, and although it wouldn't be the last, this striper was one fat fish.



A little bit later Dan brings aboard a second striper, and though not as fat, it was still respectable and a good fight.



I'm hoping Zombie got a better picture of Todd's fat hybrid. By the end of the day we had about five big stripers/hybrids, but the real show this day would be from the sand bass action....



The afternoon bite was more productive than the morning bite on this day, and at one point while slabbing, we were putting sandies in the boat as fast as we could get the slabs in the water. Here Zombie is trying for a one-man-double. What you can't see are the dozens of fat sandies that are starting to accumulate on the deck.



At one point while working the dam, Todd pulled up this plump crappie, and we had him strike a Yaknyota fish pose for this picture....I think he's got it down. LOL.

Note: Todd was fishing with Shane Davies (Yaknyota) two years when he caught a Texas record 42 inch striped bass on the Brazos....



The crew...Nate (Fish Zombie), me (B_Rod), my son, Dan (FishingWOT), and our captain for the day, Todd (SeaProTodd).



The day's results...and even though Zombie called this an average Twok haul, from my perspective, this is a monster haul. We owe a huge Thank You to Todd Tran for taking us out on his beautiful boat. It was a day that neither my son nor I will forget.

Hey Todd, way to find them. And thanks for coming over to say Hi to me and Jim. Just wish we had exchanged cell numbers. My hats off to you for we got skunked. We fished from 11 till 3. Must be that I-pilot!

It was my pleasure Burt, Nate and Dan! Burt, good to finally meet you and your marine son Dan, the Vin Diesel stunt double with the same deep voice. LOL. My crew already know the catching part so I didnt have to do much except take them there

If it wasnt for the soldiers who rescued my family from the treacherous ocean some 30+ years ago, I wont be here today cuz we would all be shark baits! It was my way of paying back for the brave soldiers who risked their lives to give my family a chance to live and for giving me the opportunity to do what I love which is simply to go fish!!

Gotta say were very blessed Friday. We had a somewhat slow morning then gave in at 2pm and then at the boat ramp an Angel sent us two Twok's pros. They advised us to stay around for the late afternoon bites cuz it will be good. Thank you to those two nice fellers because they were right on. We gave it a second try at 5pm and it was awesome!!

Good seeing you guys out there!! A few of my buddies and I admit that Twok is a difficult lake for part timers. We had a few good tips
