I fished Thursday evening and it was TOUGH! My parents taught me: "If you don't have something nice to say, don't say anything at all". So, I didn't post a report! The fish are getting more aggressive as the water warms up. I didn't clean a female yesterday that had laid her eggs...they should be finished laying in a week or so and all heck will break loose. They will be HUNGRY! When you find them, they should be stacked and bite on anything, and I do mean anything. Put a hook on a beer tab and they will hit it! The rig I most use this time of year (early post spawn) is a Moes SSS slab with a fly tied 12 to 18" above it. No need to buy expensive flies. You can use a cheap crappie jig from Wally World....I use 1/8 oz (White or Yellow)....helps get the slab/fly to the bottom faster. Let the rig hit the bottom and dance it up/down/sideways until you feel a tug! Chances are that you will have two on! Hope this helps.

Pitt I made it over to Lewisville Thursday on the water at 2pm off at 5pm. Caught I smallish sandie and a short 14" Hybrid. That Hybrid hit like a freight train !
Got them over by the old dam area.Thursday was very slow.Your post from the other day got me out on the lake anyway. It is 82 miles round trip for me to launch at tower bay. Hearing you had a slow night Thursday made me at least feel better.
That is one nice mess of fish you have laid out.Looks like some super sized whites ! Might see you on the lake sometime. Johnathan

Just another observation. We we're on the lake today and I think we may have seen you guys (that is "You" and "Sprint") just Southeast of Deadman's point. There was a group of boats there, but I just can't seem to recall anyone pulling up any Sandies. That danged ol Nitro of ours does like 60 mph, so we don't see much till we stop. We ended up heading to the shallows in coves and caught 4 largemouth. Everyone of them felt like "snags" until they were within 10 feet of the boat and then they started to fight. The fish today were "lethargic". Maybe from the front that came in. Didn't see anyone catching much of anything. Out of curiosity, the guy I saw that may or may not have been you (with "Sprint") was wearing shorts. Did he get cold? and put on fleece for the pic. Come on now, when and where did you really catch those fish? Was it back in Oklahoma? On another date? Maybe a few years back? Or is this old man just flat out mistakin? Or did you just get busted? Credibility wise, that is! 60 mph? Sweet dude. You sound like you are lost. Let me redirect you to where you belong. http://texasfishingforum.com/forums/ubbthreads.php/forums/2/1/Bass_Fishing

Where was my invite for smoking time you had on Saturday Pittstate? Guess you only take me along when you know the fish wasnt biting like last Thursday. Kiddings aside, I want to thank you for improving my fishing skills. While you were killing at Lewisville, I took what I learned and we were catching fish in Ray Hubbard. Didnt see the stacked on radar but slowed slabbed in 20-25 ft of water near the peanuts and boated about forty sand bass with kids and wife. And like everyone else at RH, met TP&W officer Jamie who tried to ram my boat. But he apologized and I definately don't mind seeing him out there.
I was itching to go for them again Sunday but that wind was fierce! So we went home and took care of some of the family duties.

I did see you (PittState) out there at Deadman's on Saturday late morning in your Tracker and yes I did see you catch some nice fish so hope that helps out your "Credibility". I was in the light/dark metalic blue Nitro that showed up in deeper water about 11:00 and will say "hi" next time I see you. Anyway, I caught fish at many different points including 3 Hybrids with the largest being 8.8lbs and about 30 Sandies. Kept a few fish to make my Doctor happy (eat more fish and less red meat! )and let the rest go for another day of fun. I wish I could figure out how to post pictures. Also, does anyone know the Andriod app that was referenced a few weeks back concerning lake maps/gps? I would like to map a few spots I have found.

GasPasser, you know you are always welcome to fish in my boat. Looking forward to hitting Texoma on Monday with you/your brother, although Chris's report doesn't sound very encouraging.

Sorry I did not notice the wave over but next time I see you on LL I will stop and say "Hi". I am kinda new to the TFF but have met a lot of nice people and look forward to meeting more including yourself. Good luck with the fishing but it looks like you don't need much.

Credibility wise, that is! I cant speak for Pitt, but we kept a 2man limit and threw back another 20 or so. I saw boats catching fish, there was no doubt about that, how else would I have known where to fish http://texasfishingforum.com/forums/images/icons/default/wink.gif That was on Sat the 2nd just to be clear, and I was in the white, yellow and black Tahoe. Next time any one sees me feel free to say Hi I would like to meet some of you.

We were out there on Saturday as well and fishing was on. Once the wind picked up at around 2 or so found some good sandies in the back of coves in the Lake Dallas area. Was a great day of fishing and congrats on a great fish fry sack!!! BTW what kind of boat is that behind you... Just Kidding

Hit lewisville around 8:30am and found fish at the first stop. We were motoring up above the fish and drifting through them.....before we could make the next drift, someone was already on the spot...I guess they needed the fish more than we did because it SEEMED as though they filled the cooler with limits and left. 45 minutes later, they were back at it again. No worries here, we caught at least 150 fish and kept 49 (we can't count very well, and it is always better to count less than more) for a fish fry. We left them biting hard at 11:30am. Nice seeing you again at the ramp in Little Elm Saturday about 11:30 am. You were just coming out when we were launching. You said you murdered 'em and I see you did.

I stopped by deadmans on Saturday when I first got on the water. I had my son and girlfriend with me. I fish out of a white 24ft fishmaster. As soon as we pulled up a guide was cursing and yelling at a deep V hull boat with two guys in it. I also guide on Lewisville part time. My son looked at me and said do all guides act like that daddy. I just looked at him and smiled and said not the good ones. We moved on he had seen and heard enough. We caught over 200 for the day between the 3 of us including some nice hybrids. Seen Don the Angler and Bigdad and Ruben out and about catching fish. Other then when we were at deadmans we never seen another boat other then Don's and a few in the distance.
