Sons 1st bass on a jig and a few others from the day. Also his 1st pickerel and it was a monster. It took a few minutes to convince him to hold it he said it was gonna bite his arm off.

Awesome pics! He caught them all by himself? Where did you catch the pickerel?

Yea he caught em all. I help with the casting cause were still working on his revo skills, but the fish were being real aggressive so he was bouncing it in almost at a swim and they were nailing it.

Are you sure that's a pickerel! Dang biggest pickerel pike I've seen!

The chain pickerel is distinguished from its relatives, the Northern Pike and Muskellunge, by its prominent chain-like markings on a green background. They are identified by their fully scaled cheek and gill cover, slender body, large head and conspicuous dark bar beneath each eye. Chain pickerel are the smallest game fish of the Pike family. They reach a length of 3 feet and weigh up to 7 lbs.

Yea the pickerel was every bit of 8 to 8.5 pounds. We were in Arkansas on the Little Red, and looks like we let go a possible state record. Opps

Man, that is the biggest Pickerel I have seen. Didn't know they got that big. Might have been a State record.
