Got on the lake this morning about 7. Started spider-rigging in about 7 foot of water. Caught fish from 7 foot all the way up to 2 foot. The bite early was really good. As the day went on the slower they got. Also as the day went on, of course with the warmer temp the shallower the bite was. We ended the day around 2 with 31 nice crappie. Biggest one went right at 14 1/2 inches. It was half being females full of eggs and half being dark males. Water temp was right around 63-65 degrees. It's a good time to be on patman right now. It won't last long. I think a majority of the crappie spawned before last weeks cold front but there are still some there. Also caught a few cats and trash fish. Used minnows all day. Spider rigged all day. Caught about 10 or so just being short of the limit. The black crappie was 1.6 and could have got it certified and would had been lake record I think. The last time I looked there was not even black crappie certified on the record page. But lot of trouble to even do it not even knowing where I could find a certified scale around patman.

Good Report!! Looks like you found them.

We put in a sprinkler system and had a truck load of sod laid the last couple of weeks. This weekend, I'm building a deck for the above ground pool. Maybe I'll get out there next weekend??

Yeah Keith did manage to get on them today. Did not think we would had done so good with the water level being so low. Usually with them spawning we fish the banks but fishing out from the banks this year.
