Can someone explain to me what sets this dude apart? Is it talent / God given natural ability or does this dude just put more into it than anyone else? I'm curious what you think. I think this dude is hands down the best ever . Not even close. But i can't believe he's just lucky.

The best ever! imho. Dude just thinks like a fish. One thing I've noticed about him is his ability to adapt quicker than most. He seems to not get tied to a certain pattern, bait, location. I know all good fisherman do this but I think he is more comfortable with bailing on what he had going in practice. He has enough confidence in his abilities to catch them in another way. I also think he is better at figuring out what the fish are going to be doing as opposed to what they are doing right now. my .02

KEVIN VAN DAM is the KVD they are speaking of. Google him and get ready to read about the Tiger Woods of bass fishing. I met him at the Toyota Texas Bass Classic on Fork and he seems to be one nice fella too. I would love to have his job!!

Just amazing to watch. Remember watching him on a show fishing the California Delta. Throwing a lipless crankbait. Wasn't catchin at all, then mumbled somethin about the wind direction and switched to another lipless, same size, same color, only without rattles. And just starting tearin em up every cast. I was floored.

I remember that show, KVD thought he might of been wrong in his choice and as soon as he said "I think I chose the wrong bait." it immediately started raining. He is the Chuck Norris of BASS!
