Hey folks,

I'm looking for somebody around here who does trailer brake work. I'd like to convert my hydraulic surge brakes to the new marine electronic ones. I have a tandem axle trailer that carries around a 22 ft center console.

Can you guys recommend somebody within 30 min of grapevine?

Also--does anybody have this setup?

Call Allen at Trailer Outlet

Fort Worth, TX 76119
(817) 429-7111

He runs a that trailer place on South loop 820 in Ft. Worth. If it can be done he can do it and does great work at a reasonable price.

I changed 2 boat trailers, from surge drum, to surge disc, about 8 or 9 yrs ago. Went through a company called (UFP). Unique Functioning Products. I'm almost positive that was their name. First one took about 4 hrs. Second one about 1.5 hrs. Of corse after I hit the submit button I will do some research

the one thing that changed my mind about going to electric was the fact not just any truck can pull the boat.

I did my own and they work great. I went with electric since I pull a Triton 185 magnum with a tacoma single cab and was worried about traction issues not activating the surge brakes. I haven't found any issues yet but I did buy the best controller I could afford.
