Thanks pepop

We went wednesday and caught a bunch of good sized blacks with eggs at kickapoo in 8 - 10 ft water, 7-10 AM. The bite started immediately as the sun rose with almost all fish caught on minnows. None of the fish were dark in color.

I may be messin up but I'm takin my 9 yr old grand daughter in the morning and we're headed to mid-lake. Thought I'd give Ledbetter a shot. We'll see.

And precisely 19 out of 30 black crappie had eggs.

yup pepop is in the know on that lake. i pm him a couple of times and he responded promptly. glad i didnt pm that other dude on that other thread. appreciate it. i live in dallas and dont know much about palestine. did catch a few near the villages marina for u bankers last week. minnow or jig under bobber. getcha some, gitr done

Tried my luck Friday mid-mornin, caught 1 Crappie, 1 Bluegil....The fish skunked me, but I skunked Dad! I didnt see very many fish being caught, alot of boats out on the south end though. All Both of my fish were in about 12ft. Good luck!

We went to lake athens saturday for a few hours, trying some holes from last year. We got no crappie. Then we drove back to tyler and decided to try out flat creek. We got a big white in about 3 foot, and one under the bridge. Then we noticed fish marking out in 14 ft of water in random open water spots. We trolled 14 ft of water for a couple hours with minnows for 8 more with 4 or so pretty big. No pics yet, hopefully later.
